Supplier Code of Conduct

Purpose

Meridian BlueWater works with suppliers, contractors, specialists and service providers across hospitality, estates, lifestyle management, yachting and private occasions. We expect those we work with to operate responsibly, professionally and with respect for people, clients, property and the environment.

Integrity and professional conduct

Suppliers are expected to act honestly and professionally; provide services as agreed; maintain appropriate standards of quality and conduct; comply with applicable laws and regulations; protect confidential and commercially sensitive information; declare actual or potential conflicts of interest; maintain accurate records and invoices; and treat clients, guests, colleagues and other service providers with courtesy and respect.

Labour and human rights

Suppliers must respect fundamental human rights and must not use forced, bonded or compulsory labour, child labour or exploitative working practices. Suppliers should provide lawful working conditions, appropriate remuneration and a safe working environment.

Modern slavery and exploitation

Suppliers must take reasonable steps to prevent slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and exploitation within their operations and relevant supply chains. Meridian BlueWater will not knowingly engage a supplier where there is credible evidence of serious exploitation.

Equality and respect

Suppliers must not unlawfully discriminate against employees, contractors, clients or other individuals on the basis of protected characteristics under applicable law. Harassment, bullying, intimidation and abusive behaviour are not acceptable.

Health and safety

Suppliers are expected to maintain appropriate health and safety standards and to provide properly trained personnel where specialist or regulated services are involved.

Bribery and improper payments

Suppliers must not offer, request, accept or facilitate bribes, kickbacks or other improper advantages in connection with Meridian BlueWater business.

Confidentiality and client privacy

Suppliers may have access to private residences, personal information, travel arrangements, financial information, guest information or other confidential matters. Such information must be treated as strictly confidential and used only for legitimate business purposes.

Environment

Suppliers are encouraged to minimise unnecessary waste, energy consumption, pollution and environmental impact and to comply with applicable environmental requirements.

Compliance

Meridian BlueWater may request reasonable information from suppliers where necessary to assess compliance with this Code. Serious or repeated breaches may result in suspension or termination of the business relationship.

Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Statement

Commitment

Meridian BlueWater is committed to respecting human rights and to preventing modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking and exploitation within our business and supply relationships.

Risk awareness

We recognise that these risks can arise in sectors involving hospitality, domestic services, construction, maintenance, agriculture, transport, events and other labour-intensive activities.

Zero tolerance

Meridian BlueWater does not tolerate forced, bonded or compulsory labour, human trafficking, slavery, servitude or the exploitation of children. We expect suppliers, contractors and service partners to uphold the same principles.

Our approach

We seek to work with reputable suppliers and service providers; communicate expectations through our Supplier Code of Conduct; consider human-rights risks when selecting and engaging suppliers; raise concerns where potential exploitation is identified; take appropriate action where serious concerns are substantiated; and review our approach as our business and supply network develop.

Legal framework

Meridian BlueWater will comply with applicable laws concerning modern slavery, forced labour and human trafficking in the jurisdictions in which it operates. This statement is reviewed periodically and updated where appropriate.

Meridian BlueWater is committed to maintaining a professional working environment based on integrity, dignity, respect and responsible conduct.

Our standards

We do not tolerate bullying, harassment, intimidation, threats or violence, discrimination, exploitation, retaliation against individuals raising legitimate concerns, or dishonest or deliberately misleading conduct.

Professional conduct

Everyone representing Meridian BlueWater is expected to act honestly; respect confidentiality; protect client and company information; maintain appropriate professional boundaries; comply with applicable laws and procedures; and raise concerns where serious misconduct or unethical behaviour is identified.

Service and conduct

We expect people to treat colleagues, clients, guests, suppliers and other service partners with professionalism and respect. We believe that high standards of service begin with high standards of conduct.

Equality & Respect

Commitment

Meridian BlueWater is committed to providing a professional environment in which people are treated fairly, respectfully and with dignity. We do not tolerate unlawful discrimination or harassment.

Fair treatment

We seek to ensure that employment, engagement, development and professional opportunities are handled fairly and based on relevant qualifications, experience, performance and business requirements. We expect the same standards from suppliers, contractors and service partners.

Respectful conduct

Everyone working with Meridian BlueWater is expected to treat others with dignity and respect; avoid discriminatory or offensive behaviour; respect cultural and individual differences; maintain professional standards of communication; and raise concerns where inappropriate conduct occurs.

Scope

These principles apply across our relationships with employees, contractors, suppliers, clients, guests and other business partners.

Anti-Bribery & Corruption

Commitment

Meridian BlueWater conducts business with integrity and does not tolerate bribery or corruption.

Improper advantages

We will not offer, promise, give, request or accept an improper payment, benefit or advantage in order to influence a business decision or obtain an improper commercial benefit.

Examples

This includes cash payments, kickbacks, inappropriate gifts, improper hospitality, facilitation payments, undisclosed commissions and other improper advantages.

Conflicts of interest

Actual or potential conflicts of interest should be disclosed promptly so that they can be considered appropriately.

Gifts and hospitality

Gifts and hospitality must be reasonable, proportionate and legitimate in the circumstances. They must never be used to improperly influence a decision.

Business partners

We expect suppliers, contractors and other business partners to maintain equivalent standards of integrity. Suspected bribery or corruption should be raised promptly through the appropriate reporting channel.

Legal compliance

Meridian BlueWater will comply with applicable anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws in the jurisdictions in which it operates.

Whistleblowing

Purpose

Meridian BlueWater encourages people to raise genuine concerns about serious wrongdoing or breaches of applicable law or company standards.

Concerns may include

Fraud; bribery or corruption; serious conflicts of interest; modern slavery or forced labour; serious health and safety concerns; serious breaches of confidentiality or data protection; financial misconduct; serious unethical behaviour; or other matters falling within applicable whistleblowing protections.

Raising a concern

Concerns should be raised through the designated confidential reporting channel made available by Meridian BlueWater. Reports should be made honestly and in good faith.

Protection

Meridian BlueWater does not tolerate retaliation against a person who raises a genuine concern in good faith. Reports will be handled appropriately and, where required, confidentially.

Legal framework

Where applicable, whistleblowing arrangements will operate in accordance with relevant national legislation implementing applicable EU requirements.

Sustainability & Responsible Practices

Commitment

Meridian BlueWater recognises that responsible management extends beyond the quality of the service itself. We seek to make practical and proportionate decisions that reduce unnecessary environmental impact and encourage responsible practices across our operations and supplier relationships.

Our approach includes

Reducing unnecessary waste; encouraging responsible purchasing; considering local and seasonal products where appropriate; reducing unnecessary energy and resource consumption; supporting responsible maintenance and property management; considering environmental factors when selecting suppliers; encouraging efficient transport and logistics where practical; and respecting the character and environment of the properties, destinations and communities in which we operate.

Continuous improvement

We recognise that sustainability is an ongoing process rather than a single standard or claim. As Meridian BlueWater develops, we will continue to review our practices and identify practical opportunities for improvement.
